Commemorating World Patient Safety Day: A Step Toward Safer Care
According to the hospital's Public Relations Department, a program focused on promoting a safety culture and raising awareness regarding safe patient care was held at the hospital on Saturday, September 19, 2026, to mark World Patient Safety Day.
During this event, attended by hospital staff and medical personnel, emphasis was placed on the importance of patient safety, error prevention, hazard identification and management, and the role of staff participation in delivering safe, high-quality care.
Ms. Jafarpour, the hospital’s patient safety officer, presented educational material outlining the importance of adhering to safety principles and focusing on preventive processes during the delivery of medical services; she also underscored the necessity of staff collaboration and engagement in enhancing patient safety.
One of the engaging and participatory elements of the program was the "Patient Safety Wall" commemorative banner, where hospital staff wrote personal messages and thoughts regarding safety—each reflecting their deep commitment to patient health and well-being. Additionally, to raise awareness, educational posters and pamphlets on patient safety were displayed and distributed throughout the hospital. The program also included a ceremony honoring several dedicated staff members for their active contributions to patient safety, presenting them with certificates of appreciation.
