Health tourism experts from the Ministry of Health visit the International Patient Department (IPD) at Khatam-ol-Anbia Hospital, Shirvan.
To assess existing capacities and potential in the field of medical tourism, Mr. Honarvar—Head of Medical Tourism at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences—accompanied by Ms. Ali-Akbari—Officer for International Medical Tourism at the Treatment Deputy of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences—visited the International Patients Department (IPD) of Khatam-ol-Anbia Hospital in Shirvan on September 8, 2026.
During this site visit, the infrastructure, amenities, and equipment standards were meticulously assessed, and the existing processes for the admission and treatment of international patients were analyzed. Subsequently, a joint meeting was held to discuss and exchange expert views on strategies for enhancing service quality, developing necessary infrastructure, and improving admission processes, all with the aim of achieving optimal standards. The visit was conducted to identify strengths, exchange specialized expertise, and review the regulatory requirements for admitting international patients (IPD) at Khatam-ol-Anbia Hospital.
